I was inspired to write THE MIRROR ZONE as a cathartic expression of my very real experience as a POC growing up in a dangerous area. Many of my friends have committed suicide (probably PTSD from our childhood), and many more were killed or are in prison. During my early years, I don't think we even considered our lives "abnormal", but everyone around me felt the same way that I did - We were trapped and no one cared. As I got older, I shared my experiences with people who were raised in different environments. I learned through conversation that most people were either incapable of understanding what I went through...or thought it was just too hard to believe. The violence, death, and starvation I lived through is much more digestible through Fantasy than in a form more isolating to readers, such as a memoir. So, I wrote THE MIRROR ZONE!

I currently reside in Georgia, where I am a pilot, successful multi-business owner, university student, and a member of the Atlanta Writers Club.
